Welcome to KC Rock History

Guitarist Roach of Groovie Ghoulies at El Torreon

This website is designed to become the home for rock history in the Kansas City area; a place to share memories and memorabilia.

In 2010, I began researching the topic with an eye toward publishing a book. I need lots of help, though, so please share your memories here in the comments section — no registration necessary. And if you have some groovy artifacts that help to tell the story, please contact me at rick [at] kcrockhistory [dot] com.

Hmm is anyone else experiencing problems with the pictures on this
blog loading? I’m trying to find out if its a problem on my end or if it’s the blog.

Any feed-back would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for saying that, Irene. I found that small scene was very important. I think many of us struggle with that concept. When I found that idea–from Helen Keller!–I thought it crystalized much for me. And I also think what our 'worthy purpose' is can change over the course of our lives.
